The 2024 Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 has arrived

Apr 10, 2024 | News

After a long wait, the much anticipated 2024 Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 has arrived. All of the CEC family stood outside to welcome this beauty with its impressive 8 axles enter our yard after its long journey from Germany. These are only the bare bones of the crane, with the main boom, jib, luffer, Y-guys, and 175 tons of counterweight following behind on a total of 12 loads. Once all loads were offloaded, our yard felt a bit claustrophobic, with shiny new crane parts taking up most of our space. The crane and our operators will be going through a couple weeks of commissioning this week and next before we're ready to send it off on its maiden voyage.
