Carson School Piling

Carson School Piling

Client: Mass Construction

Owner: School District 28

Location: Quesnel, BC

Date: July-August 2024

Details: CEC was subcontracted by Mass Construction for Quesnel School District 28 to perform piling work for the new Carson School building. Our scope involved the installation of 169 closed-end steel piles, ranging in diameters of 16″, 20″, and 24″, with typical lengths of 60 feet. The piling process began with a drop hammer, followed by completion using a D30 diesel hammer for deeper driving. All piles were closed with end plates welded on-site to ensure structural integrity, and some required splicing, which was completed under third-party weld inspections. CEC’s expertise ensured precise installation, laying a solid foundation for the new school facility.
