Crane Fleet
Crawler Cranes
Crawler cranes are incredibly versatile pieces of equipment. They are known for their ability to handle significant weights at large spans. Crawler Cranes are often used for bridge launches, installing turbines, and pile-driving projects. At CEC, we have a wide variety of crawler cranes to get the job done.
Our fleet ranges from a 4.9-ton crawler crane, four (4) 110-ton crawler cranes, all the way up to a 275-ton crawler. Our 110-ton crawler cranes include a basic boom length of 40’ with a maximum boom length of 200’. These units can self-erect their counterweight, which eliminates the need for an assist crane and allows for reduced counterweight chart operation. The crawler tracks can be extended and retracted for better manoeuverability on a job site. The maximum winch line speed for these units is 163m/minute and are rated to pull up to 25,200 lbs per line.
CEC’s 275-ton crawler crane has an impressive maximum tip height of 300’. This unit can self-erect its remarkable 198,300lbs of counterweight by stacking it on the ground and being lifted by vertical cylinders for installation. The 275-ton crawler crane has a maximum winch line speed of 110m/minute and is rated to pull up to 29,700 pounds per line. This diversity allows us to handle both small and large job scopes efficiently and effectively.
Crawler cranes are ideal cranes for long term project needs as they can move around sites with ease and can assist in all heavy lifting or piling needs for various types of construction projects.
